ED ELEY

I started Eley Fitness in November 2012, having just qualified from the European Institute of Fitness as a Master Personal Trainer. I have always had a passion for fitness being an ex professional sportsman. Fitness has always been a major part of my life from a young age.

I started Eley Fitness because I want to offer people an opportunity to gain the results they want, but in an environment that is fun, friendly and welcoming.

In June 2015, myself and my partner moved the business in to our very own Private Personal Training Studio in Bakewell. Having been members of plenty of gyms, good and bad, we were determined to create a friendly and non-intimidating environment for our clients to train in.

Everyone is welcome through our doors and everyone will be greeted with a happy team of trainers ready to help.

I believe in exercise being fun, people can still work hard but enjoy what they're doing.

TORIE ELEY

I joined Eley Fitness in June 2015 after I qualified at the European Institute of Fitness as a master Personal Trainer.

 

Ed and I had a dream of creating an environment that people felt comfortable in, to get away from the stereotype of intimidating gyms. We opened our PT studio in June 2015 and have watched it blossom into the studio we are very proud of today.

 

I have always had a passion for health and fitness, and most importantly client care. I specialise in both personal training and group sessions and I want to show you that just because you may not like a gym environment, you can still lose weight, get fit and enjoy exercise!!

I love pushing my body to it’s limits to see what it can achieve, I want to help you believe you can do the same with the right coaching and guidance.

PADDY WRIGHT

I started working with Eley Fitness in January 2016, having been a client with them since July 2014. I have always been very enthusiastic about fitness and sports, with running and rugby being my main passion. By training with Eley Fitness it made me realise that the fitness industry is something I wanted to be involved in, so I made the next step.

In September 2015, I studied with the European Institute of Fitness to gain my Master Personal Training qualifications, having been advised to do so by the Eley Fitness Team. It was here that I realised how bigger effect I can have on people's lives, I want to help people achieve their goals and live a healthier life.

Over the last few years of personal training, I have worked with many different clients both inside the PT Studio and outside, gaining a lot of experience in the world of fitness.

LAUREN MELLOR

Turning 40 made me realise that I no longer wanted to be stuck behind a desk, in a 9 – 5 job; I had been attending personal training sessions for over a year and decided that it was time for me to follow my passion for health and nutrition and qualify as a PT. I was over the moon to be offered the role at Eley Fitness as the philosophy and ethos of Torie, Ed and the rest of the team matched my own.


From the moment I first stepped into Eley Fitness the friendly, welcoming atmosphere hit me.

As a mother of two (very busy) children, I have struggled in the past to make time for myself and in particular, my own fitness goals. I have learnt the hard way that not having any time to train impacts seriously not only on my physical health but also my mental wellbeing. I find that regularly taking part in exercise and having a bit of 'me time' not only keeps me physically strong but also improved my mental health considerably.

I understand that maintaining a consistent level of fitness is hard and I believe that sessions should be created to fit the individual's goals and each session needs to be varied and fun. I can't wait to start working with you and helping you achieve your fitness goals!

RACHEL BROBBIN

I have been training/ exercising for at least 4 years now but my own journey didn’t properly start until about 12 months ago.

I am one of those people who loves to have a good time but unfortunately is prone to putting weight on easily. After I went through a bad breakup I started going to the gym more regularly and started using it as a form of therapy. When I started to see/feel the results I became hooked! I went from a size 14-16 to a size 10-12 and I had so much more energy. It was from there my passion and desire to help other people started and I trained to become a personal trainer.


I have been lucky enough to be taken on board to the Eley Fitness family and I can’t wait to get stuck in helping/ training people!

I will be taking 11 sessions and group sessions and I really hope I can help inspire people to get themselves healthier and happier!

ELLIOTT STEAD

 

My passion for fitness started 7 Years ago, my self-esteem was low, training at the gym gave me focus and built my confidence which in turn provided a huge positive effect on my life.

Being a member of a gym, I noticed a lot of people were joining for similar reasons but would leave after a month or so, they lacked direction and took little pleasure in exercise so weren’t getting the results they wanted, missing out on the numerous benefits of exercise. So I decided to qualify and help people like this.

 

After qualifying I gained a position working in Sheffield at Bramall Lane for the "Fit Fans" program.  This was a community based government intervention providing overweight individuals with appropriate information on nutrition and physical activity, delivered by highly qualified nutrition professionals.  I gained valuable knowledge on how experienced health professionals support and advise people of differing needs and abilities.

 

I then worked at Hope Valley Health Club in Hathersage for 2 years where I gathered experience working with a variety of clients and established an effective method of training using a combination of strength and HIIT with a focus on nutrition to help my clients lose weight and keep it off!

 

​Exercise shouldn’t be a punishment, I believe in finding the pleasurable side of fitness; and whilst there may be a sore muscle or two along the way, the benefits of fitness are worth a little discomfort.

FLORENCE EDGE

 

I have always had a passion for the gym and fitness, it has been a huge part of my life. From the age of 3 I started dancing and have gone onto represent the UK in open ballroom and Latin competitions worldwide. More recently I have toured the UK in numerous Strictly Come Dancing shows and have been an install director for celebrity cruises traveling the world.

 

I have attended gyms, studios and classes worldwide including London, Miami, Australia and Hong Kong. Since moving back home I have attended Eley fitness training sessions over the past 6 months, and having always wanted to be a personal trainer I have now found the perfect studio to make this happen.

 

I’m a big believer in using exercise to positively enhance both your physical and mental wellbeing, I look forward to getting to know the Eley fitness clients and promise to bring you fun, fresh and effective personal and group training sessions!
